Discharge Letter

After your discharge, we will send the final report or the surgical report to your home address. In some cases, your doctor may hand it to you during a follow-up examination.

Stay/Discharge Confirmation

Upon request, you can obtain your certificate of stay with or without a diagnosis when checking out with the ward secretary or at the admissions office. If desired, all findings can also be received electronically.

Discharge Management

The discharge management service at the Wiener Privatklinik ensures seamless care for you at home after your hospital stay. We see ourselves as the link between your hospital stay and home care. The discharge management is committed to answering your questions, planning discharge preparations with you, and involving relatives and trusted persons upon your request.

Clarification and assessment of the current care situation/needs
Individual information and consultation on care options such as home help, home nursing, acute geriatrics, short-term care, meals on wheels, assistance with applying for care allowance, coordination and organization of discharge

Medical History and Findings

After your stay, you can request a copy of your medical history and reports. Contact the medical records department from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, or call +43 1 40 180 – 7056.

Medications

If you need medication, please contact our nursing team for assistance. Alternatively, ask them for directions to the nearest pharmacy.

Patient Billing

For questions regarding the billing of your stay, either with you or your insurance, please contact the patient accounting department in the administrative office, available Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at +43 1 40 180 – 7047.

Transportation

For internal patient transport, our patient escort service is available. We can also arrange a taxi or medical transport to and from the clinic. Please inform us in advance of your needs.

Emergency Card

Each patient receives an emergency card after their stay at the Wiener Privatklinik. This card ensures that as a cardholder, you receive the best medical care around the clock at the Wiener Privatklinik. The card also includes the name of the attending physician, who can be contacted immediately by the clinic in case of an emergency.

IMPORTANT!
If you are transported by ambulance, inform the ambulance personnel that you wish to be taken directly to the Wiener Privatklinik without detour and be sure to show your WPK emergency card.
